COCKAPOO Rufus is on the lookout for modelling shoots after catching the eye of a talent agency.

The cute cross-breed is registered with the Manchester-based Talent Management Model Agency, the UK’s only national talent agency.

Six-month-old Rufus could now find himself in the spotlight for work on commercials, TV or theatre, as a film extra or in fashion shoots.

Rufus – a cocker spaniel/poodle cross breed - joined the team at Lostock Green’s tree surgery business OJT Tree Services in July, and his owner Oliver Turnbull quickly put him straight into training with log familiarisation exercises.

That went well, so Rufus is now occasionally ‘dog on board’ when the team go out tackling all manner of tree work.

With the recent high winds and stormy weather, there have been plenty of jobs and emergency call-outs to keep the OJT Tree Services team busy.

Model fees for animals for dogs and cats featured on the Talent Management site range from £50 to £400, with one of the dogs, a Siberian Husky, being booked for a Lapland Christmas event.
