AN elderly woman has been pulled out of the River Weaver at Winsford Marina and has been taken to hospital.
A woman, who police say is in her 80s, fell into the river today, Monday, November 9, and emergency services were called to the scene at 12.19pm.
Five police cars and an ambulance were at the scene and the woman was pulled out from the water. Her condition is unknown.
A police spokesperson said: "At 12.19pm on Monday 9 November 2015, emergency services were called to Winsford Marina in Stocks Hill following reports of an elderly woman in the water.
"A woman in her 80’s has been taken to hospital. Enquiries into the circumstances are in their early stages.
"Anyone with information should contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 390 of 9 November 2015."
