FOOTBALL fans are being given chance to help refugees in crisis with a collection this Saturday, September 26.
1874 Northwich FC is holding a clothing collection at its home game, at Barton Stadium in Winsford, against Bootle, which kicks off at 3pm.
The club has organised the donation session in conjunction with Northwich mums Caroline Bailey, from Leftwich, and Becky Moore, from Rudheath.
The duo launched a clothing collection earlier this month in conjunction with the British Red Cross Shop, in Northwich.
When the shop ran out of space Caroline got in touch with Winsford Refugee Aid, which is taking a collection into Europe.
Caroline thanked pupils at Davenham CE Primary School and Hartford CE High School, who have also been collecting items for refugees.
She said another delivery will be going out on October 8 but unless more storage space can be found for items this will be the final chance to get items out to those in need.
