A GROUP of walkers trekked up Mount Snowdon to raise vital funds for St Luke’s Hospice.
St Luke’s first Snowdon Memorial trek took place on July, 19, raising £7,000 for the Winsford hospice.
Walkers made their way up the Llanberis Path towards the top of the mountain where a remembrance service took place, led by Chaplain Rick Gates.
Mr Gates said: “It was a very emotional and inspirational experience for many who took part, conducting the service in such beautiful surroundings offered a peaceful setting for those remembering loved ones.”
The walkers were joined by Mark Porter, corporate and community fundraiser for St Luke’s Hospice, and Sara Jones, complementary therapist.
Mark said: “I would like to thank everyone who walked Snowdon; the volunteers, all the individuals who donated and Poole Alcock, which supported the event.
“I walked in memory of my mum, I found the experience very humbling and moving.”
