POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist from Cuddington died in Runcorn.
A 26-year-old man was fatally injured in a collision last night on the link road between Boston Avenue and the Central Expressway.
The accident happened shortly after 8.30pm on Sunday, August 2.
Police say the motorcyclist was riding a black Suzuki GSF 1200 when he lost control on a left hand bend and died at the scene.
An investigation has been launched.
Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or who was in the area at the time and has seen anything significant to get in touch.
Police are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen a white Focus RS in the Boston Avenue and Central Expressway area around the time of the incident.
They are also keen to trace the occupants of a Mitsubishi which was travelling from Boston Avenue up the link road shortly before the incident.
A 26-year-old man from Runcorn has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.He has subsequently been bailed pending further enquiries.
