THE MacDonald Portal Hotel at Tarporley was the venue for a record attendance at this year’s Howard Worth Budget breakfast event, with 180 clients enjoying breakfast and an informative presentation of George Osborne’s final Budget before the General Election.
Andrew Hague, Corporate Partner, introduced the event and presented the results of a pre-event survey to gauge opinion on UK economic matters.
David Evans, Associate Tax Partner, delivered tax advice and covered personal allowances, company cars and research and development within his presentation.
David Glaister, one of Howard Worth’s IFAs, discussed the wider economic impact of this year’s budget and the very current topic of changes to the pension system.
Mike Donnan, Tax Partner, concluded the presentations with an informative round-up of how the Government has tackled the deficit, and a question and answer session followed.
Howard Worth was formed in 1953, and is an accountancy practice providing a range of services to owner-managed businesses. It serves clients across the north west, Wales and the Midlands from offices in Northwich and Nantwich.
