HAIRDRESSER Janet Roberts was showered with presents from clients to mark her 25th anniversary celebrations.
Janet, from Hartford, opened The Hair Company in Fir Lane, Sandiway, in March 1990.
“We marked the anniversary by serving sparkling wine all day, and at night had a buffet at the salon for family and friends,” said Janet, who has been a hairdresser since leaving Hartford High School.
“There were about 30 to 40 people at the party, including Anne Collar and Nancy Gibson, who were there when I took over the business and between them worked at the salon for about 25 years.
“My clients were really surprised it was the 25th anniversary, and said the time had gone so fast.
“People came in with cards and presents, champagne and flowers, which was really nice, and I would like to thank everyone for their gifts and best wishes.”
Janet has built up a loyal clientele, with about 80 per cent of her clients having been with her since she opened.
Janet’s 25-year-old daughter Jessica is one of the self-employed hairdressers who work at the salon.
