CUSTOMERS had a hair-raising experience in Winsford’s Asda store last week.
In exchange for a donation to cancer charity, Orchid, shoppers were offered a cut, shave or trim by students from Mid Cheshire College.
“Customers were curious when they saw the barber s setting up, but once we had all three chairs occupied and the cutting commenced , we actually had a queue,” said Caroline Cocklin, Asda community champion.
“In just under three hours we raised more than £200.”
Asda will hold a second hair event in store tomorrow, Thursday, October 16 between 11am-3pm in aid of Orchid.
