SPECIALIST firefighters rescued a cow that had become stuck in mud near Top Flash, Winsford, on Monday, August 11.
One fire engine from Holmes Chapel, one from Northwich and the animal rescue unit from Bollington attended the incident in Weaver Hall Lane, Darnhall at 11.53am.
The cow was stuck in the mud on the water’s edge, in a difficult location for the fire engines to reach.
A digger was used to assist the firefighters, who were able to manually rescue the animal.
