ILL people are being urged to stay at home as a winter tummy bug strikes again.
In particular the NHS Vale Royal Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is asking people not to visit A&E departments, care homes, schools and nurseries to limit the spread of the sickness.
Patients are being advised that self-care is often the best choice for common illnesses and complaints such as sickness and diarrhoea, which can often be treated with a well-stocked medicine cabinet and plenty of rest.
For expert advice and treatment, without the need to wait for a doctor’s appointment, pharmacies are able to provide a confidential service, as can NHS 111 and the NHS Choices website nhs.uk For further information on the Choose Well campaign, visit the NHS Vale Royal CCG website valeroyalccg.nhs.uk/choose-well/choose-well.
