A LEFTWICH author joined the inspiration for his books when he took part in a story morning at a village pre-school.
Mike Beddard read out excerpts from his books Lost in the Snow and The Parcel at Antrobus Pre-school Nusery, where his god daughter Rachel Tomlinson works.
Rachel is the namesake for one of Mike’s literary inventions, Rachel the mouse, who stars in his children’s books.
The pair read out snippets from the stories and helped the children join in mouse-themed activities.
They were also joined by artist Rebecca Yoxall, who illustrated the tales.
The not-for-profit nursery, which was established in 1972, has places available for children aged from two to school ready age.
Rachel said: “We love to take part in learning about local things and visiting local places with the children.”
