Mariah Carey has said bronchitis caused her to cancel her Wednesday night concert at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, just three shows into her Las Vegas residency.
A representative for the singing star confirmed that a doctor diagnosed her with the condition.
Spokesman Chris Chambers, of the Chamber Group, said the singer famous for hitting high notes will be back on stage at the weekend and will still perform at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday May 17.
Chambers didn’t say if Mariah’s cancelled performance would be rescheduled.
Mariah is the latest to join The Colosseum’s roster after debuting Mariah #1 To Infinity on May 6, which catalogues her 18 number one singles in chronological order.
The singer was scheduled to perform 18 shows in May and July on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays before this week’s cancellation.
