NEWTON legend and comeback king Rick Astley will be taking his Greatest Hits tour on the road next year.

The 80s icon’s 11-date arena tour see him perform to a combined audience of more than 80,000 people including a date at Liverpool Arena on April 10.

Rick will forever be associated with the Stock Aitken Waterman days thanks to his debut single, Never Gonna Give You Up, which stayed at the top of the UK chart for five weeks, became the best-selling track of that year and won Best Single at the Brits as well as becoming a number one in 25 countries.

But the singer showed his staying power in 2016 when he topped the album charts with 50.

Rick has sold more than 100,000 tickets to his UK headline shows since then. This year has also seen him complete a 38-date stadium tour as special guest to Take That in which he played to more than 500,000 people.

Now Rick is preparing for the release of his greatest hits package, The Best of Me, which comes out on October 25.

He has also released a new single, Every One Of Us.

But you can expect a lot more from Rick’s live shows where he is known for mixing the hits that made his name alongside covers of his own favourites.

Rick’s wide-ranging love of music means that his sets are often peppered with the likes of AC/DC’s Highway To Hell as well as contemporary hits like Calvin Harris and Rag ‘n’ Bone Man’s Giant.

Rick Astley’s Greatest Hits tour is at Liverpool Arena on April 10 with special guest KT Tunstall.

Fans who pre-order The Best Of Me from Rick’s official store before 5pm on Tuesday will receive access to an exclusive 48-hour priority ticket pre-sale.

General tickets will then go on sale at 9.30am on Friday. Visit gigsandtours.com or ticketmaster.co.uk
