THERE’S no need to walk 500 miles to see The Proclaimers this year as they’ll be returning to Parr Hall in August.
The Scottish twins will be calling at Warrington on August 4 and tickets go on sale on Friday.
It has been 32 years since folk duo Craig and Charlie Reid emerged on the music scene. Since then, their enduring appeal across generations has carved a niche where pop, folk, new wave and punk collide.
The pair have even inspired a musical, the play and film Sunshine on Leith.
The musical had its fourth UK run from April to June last year, with its biggest production to date by West Yorkshire Playhouse.
Last year also marked the 30th anniversary since the release of the Sunshine on Leith album and in August The Proclaimers added to their songbook with the release of their 11th studio album, Angry Cyclist.
Tickets go on sale on Friday at 9am. Visit parrhall.culturewarrington.org or call 442345.
