GRAMMY and BRIT Award-winning rockstars Kings of Leon are to headline a new one-day festival in Liverpool.
Fusion Presents which will take place on August 30 at Sefton Park with the American band joining Franz Ferdinand, Echo and The Bunnymen, BRIT Award-winning newcomer Sam Fender and more to be announced.
Kings of Leon's set will be a UK festival exclusive with hits from all seven of their albums, in the heart of Liverpool.
Damien Sanders, event director, said: "Liverpool is an iconic city, entrenched in music heritage and we’ve wanted to launch a new event for the past couple of years.
"The biggest challenge has been finding the right artist for the job.
"We’re over the moon that we were able to secure one of the world’s most successful rock bands to launch Fusion Presents and we cannot wait to see them perform in our new home, Sefton Park."
Kings of Leon have sold more than 18 million albums and have headlined major festivals such as Coachella, Lollapalooza and Glastonbury.
Their seventh and most recent studio album, Walls, at number one on both sides of the pond in the US and UK charts. It was also their fifth consecutive UK number one album.
