NOTICE OF PROPOSAL (B5085 Mobberley Road/Parkgate Lane/Haig Road, Knutsford) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2021

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1,2 and 4, and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, ("the 1984 Act") and all other enabling powers and in accordance with its duly under Section 122 of the 1984 Act.

1. The effect of the proposed Order will be to introduce a prohibition of waiting by vehicles at all times on all days on the following lengths and sides of road; B5085 Mobberley Road, Knutsford (South Side)



- from a point 14.5 metres east of its junction with Manor Park North for a distance of 90 metres in an easterly direction



B5085 Mobberley Road, Knutsford (North Side)

- from a point 14.5 metres east of its junction with Manor Park North for a distance of 76 metres in an easterly direction



Parkgate Lane, Knutsford (East Side)

- from its junction with the B5085 Mobberley Road, Knutsford for a distance of 30 metres in a northerly direction



Parkgate Lane, Knutsford (West Side)

- from its junction with the B5085 Mobberley Road, Knutsford to a point 50 metres south of the most northern point of the junction with Braidwood Avenue.



Haig Road, Knutsford (South Side)

- from a point 17.6 metres east of its junction with Parkgate Lane for a distance of 53 metres in an easterly direction.



Haig Road, Knutsford (North Side)

- from a point 76.5 metres east of its junction with Parkgate Lane for a distance of 82 metres in an easterly direction.



- from a point 438 metres east of its junction with Parkgate Lane for a distance of 14.5 metres in an easterly direction.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restriction) Act 1991, that the Cheshire East Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on the following Public Footpaths: Public Footpath No 8 in the Parish of Plumley commencing at its junction with White House Lane at O.S. grid reference (OSGR) SJ 7181 7627 and running in a generally northly direction for a distance of approx. 115m to its junction with Public Footpath No. 5 in the Parish of Tabley Inferior at the parish boundary at OSGR SJ 7180 7638. Public Footpath No 5 in the Parish of Tabley Inferior commencing at the parish boundary at OSGR SJ 7180 7638 and running in a generally northerly direction for a distance of approx. 126m to OSGR SJ 7176 7650, and then running in a generally north westerly direction for a distance of approx. 321 m to OSGR SJ 7156 7674, and then running in a generally westerly direction for a distance of approx. 152m to its junction with Chester Road at OSGR SJ 7141 7673. This closure is necessary to protect the public from danger posed by a bridge damaged by flooding and during works that will be undertaken to repair it. The Order came into force on 18 January 2021 and will continue in force for a period of six months from this date, or until the repair works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
