NOTICE OF PROPOSAL (Lydiat Lane, Alderley Edge) (Prohibition of Waiting, On Street Permit Parking - Zone N And Revocation) Order 2021

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2,4,32,35,45,46,49,51, 53 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, asamended, and all other enabling powers and in accordance with its duty with Section 122 of the said Act.

1. The effect of the proposed Order, will be to;



a) introduce parking places for permit holders only, between the hours of 8am and 8pm, Monday to Saturday, on the following lengths and sides of road; Lydiat Lane, Alderley Edge (east side) - from



a point 17 metres south of a point in line with the common boundary of property numbers 22 and 24 Lydiat Lane for a distance of 14 metres in a southerly direction.

b) introduce a prohibition of waiting by vehicles at all times on all days on the following lengths and sides of road;



Lydiat Lane, Alderley Edge (east side) - from a point 39 metres south of a point in line with the common boundary of property numbers 22 and 24 Lydiat Lane for a distance of 10.5 metres in a southerly direction.

Lydiat Lane, Alderley Edge (west side) - from a point 56 metres south of a point in line with the common boundary of property numbers 22 and 24 Lydiat Lane for a distance of 12 metres in a south westerly direction.

c) revoke any existing previous Orders which relate to the lengths of road detailed insofar as it conflicts with the proposed limitations of the Order.



Permits will cost £60 per annum for a resident's permit £10 per book of ten visitor scratch cards (first 4 books per annum discounted to £5 per book) and no charge for a carer's permit The class of vehicle in which a permit can be used is a motor vehicle within section 136(1) of the 1984 Act with a maximum gross vehicle weight of 3.5 tonnes, be a vehicle that can carry no more than 13 people including the driver and it must not exceed 6 metres in length or 2.44 metres (8 ft) in height.
