RAYMOND ATHERTON On Sunday 15th December 2019 peacefully after a short illness at home with family in Leftwich. Ray, aged 82 years, loving husband of late Polly, much loved dad of Stuart and Martin. Adored by his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dearly loved eldest son of the late Joshua and Bessie, and the late brothers Eric and Dennis and sister to Pauline. Funeral service to be held on 14th January at St Wilfrid's Church, Davenham, Northwich at 12 noon. Family burial at St Helens Church, Witton, Northwich. The family would like to invite everyone in attendance to Winnington Park Recreation Club after the service. Family flowers only. Donations if wished to Cheshire Asbestos Victims Support. A privilege to have known Ray "Ragsy" Atherton, firstly through ICI but also through sport and his late brother Dennis and his son Stuart. A character with an infectious personality . Gob bless your family Ray, Rest in Peace and you will be truly missed but never forgotten,
