The article “Exodus fears as shops call it a day”, Guardian, January 25, highlighted a disturbing trend in shopping. The historic High Street is under threat from supermarkets and internet shopping.

CAN I vote the tiny little toilet, which I believe is in the old bank vault in the coffee shop Kanya on the High Street in Northwich, as the cleanest in Northwich? The homemade soup was delicious and the coffee was great too, but so nice to use a loo that is well cared for and hygienic.
