WE had occasion to call on the emergency services on Saturday afternoon, January 25, when my husband collapsed.
The ambulance came promptly, and the paramedics and technician gave us excellent service.
On delivery to A&E at Leighton Hospital, all the cogs started turning and there was a stream of staff – nurses, technicians, X-rays, blood tests, doctor – all executing their jobs quickly and efficiently.
After diagnosis, in the afternoon he was moved to Ward 3 emergency admissions unit, and from there in the late evening to Ward 5.
We can’t thank enough the emergency services (not forgetting the kind woman on the telephone who hung on until help arrived) and all the staff we encountered at Leighton Hospital. My husband is now safely home and will soon be getting around we hope.
