I fell as well

WITH regard to the article about the elderly lady who fell outside Knutsford Waitrose, Guardian, January 11, I also fell at this same spot on December 12.

I ended up with a broken little finger on my right hand, and badly bruised knees.

I spent four hours in accident and emergency and had to have a splint on for three weeks.

The finger is still painful. The paramedic who took me to hospital said I was very lucky as I could have broken my hip.

It would seem he has been proved right.

I have put a complaint into Cheshire East Council and am waiting a response JUDITH FAIRHURST Northwich
