Who is in control? (From Northwich Guardian)

Does the Labour group control Northwich Town Council or not?

NORTHWICH Town Council hit the headlines again, Guardian December 21, 2011.

I wondered if the spokesman quoted actually has anything at all to do with the town council.

He/she claimed that the town council is not run by the Labour Party and is independent.

Yet most of the councillors stood as Labour candidates and the Northwich Labour Party website boasts ‘Northwich Labour is proud to have 16 members, and control of the town council’ (northwichlabour. com). Clearly someone isn’t telling the truth.
