What's going on at the court building? (From Northwich Guardian)

What is going on with the former Northwich Magistrates' Court building?

I DRIVE through Northwich two or three times a day and have become intrigued with what is going on at the old court building on Chesterway.

The building has had a for sale sign up for a while but mysteriously, barriers appeared round the building and it looks like some kind of testing work has been taking place.

Has the building been bought and are the new owners doing some work on it, I wonder?

If it has been bought, who has bought it and what are they planning on doing with it?

I thought the site was meant to be part of the council's 'lifestyle centre' plans but surely if the council had bought it, there would have been a fanfare and a blaze of publicity to herald the long-awaited start of Northwich's regeneration plans.

Perhaps someone at the council in Chester could let us know what's happening.
