We are told what the powers that be want us to hear

I WATCHED the BBC news this evening knowing that there was a lot of disturbing events in the Middle East and the Indian continent.

There was a nine minute report about the Rothbury incident, four minutes about the Russian spy exchange, 10 seconds about a killing (so brief that I didn’t make sense of it), one minute about the NHS and the rest of the news was motor racing.

If we pay for this kind of uninformative headline squirts, it is about time the BBC realised that there are other channels that give a high standard of news reporting in a style that once existed with the BBC.

Try Press TV or Al Jazeera.

You will discover that all the BBC is telling you is what it wants you to know, not what we are entitled to know. Did I hear someone say Big Brother?
