MY wife and always support the Northwich heritage week, but one thing always surprises me. Why is there no plaque in Northwich Memorial Hall stating the acts who appeared there in the 1960s and since?
I am sure that if the council put one up and contacted the artists who appeared, many could be persuaded to donate small items as mementoes of those visits, perhaps even Ringo and Paul could come along and unveil the plaque. A long shot I know, but you don’t get what you don’t ask for.
The memorial hall and those halcyon days of the 60s are a big part of our heritage and we should celebrate them.
