MAY I, through your letters page, thank the concerned residents of Swanlow Lane, Beeston Drive and Townsfield Road, Winsford, who took the trouble to attend the meeting on July 4 organised by Cllr Ailsa Gaskill-Jones in response to concerns raised about speeding traffic, poor road signage, potholes and other related highway matters.
Many issues were raised and Ailsa will be preparing a report to send to Cheshire West Highways for their comments and hopefully action.
The meeting was also attended by town councillors Charlie Parkinson and Bev Theron and former CWAC councillor for Swanlow Ward Bob Barton.
Cllr Gaskill-Jones said after the meeting: “It was good to see so many people taking an interest in the community.”
Ailsa has promised to give any update on the progress of the concerns raised in the September issue of the Focus newsletter.
Malcolm Gaskill Councillor, Swanlow Ward
