I AM led to understand that access to our proposed bypass from Cledford Lane is to be restricted to vehicles using the new ANSA site.
This is beginning to look as if relieving the congestion in Middlewich town centre is of secondary importance.
Those who have been campaigning for this by-pass for many years will be disheartened if this is so.
Surely, it is being built for local as well as through and site traffic.
The link to and from Cledford Lane would allow much of this local traffic to by-pass the town and reduce the pollution at the town centre traffic lights.
The railway bridge should not be used as an excuse to discourage local vehicles to use the by-pass when they are travelling north or east.
