PEOPLE of Tatton rejoice! Before he was pushed, George finally quit as our MP.

Yes folks, Prime Minister Theresa May not only sacked him from the office of Chancellor in June 2016, but by calling an immediate election, she gave us an opportunity to evict him from Tatton to allow him to concentrate on his other five jobs.

Thankfully he has now gone! Why should he have quit? I’ll tell you why- 1. His record as Chancellor was a disaster 2. He has done nothing for Tatton - constituency matters were handled by his staff.

3. He admitted after the referendum that he ‘had misunderstood the mood of the people’ - so much for his judgement.

4. Remember - Cheshire voted by a majority to Leave the EU despite Osborne’s doom and gloom predictions.

5. Trying to justify his six jobs, he stated in Parliament ‘In my view this parliament is enhanced when we have people of different experience taking part in our robust debate.’ This man has absolutely no experience outside the Westminster bubble.

6. Having been called to parliament to explain his six jobs he told the house: ‘When I heard that this urgent question had been granted I thought it was important to be here, although unfortunately we have missed the deadline for the Evening Standard.’ This was his attempt at a joke.

What staggering arrogance this man has.

7. Research has found that the MPs most likely to take up parttime work are those with uncompetitive constituencies.

Those with jobs on the side also devote less time than others to their legislative duties, Osborne was a case in point.

8. Finally, he said that he is and always will be a Londoner and his first duty is to look after the interests of Londoners. He never had any loyalty to Tatton.

I implore all constituents of Tatton to grasp the opportunity in June to ensure we vote for a genuine and local candidate who will properly represent the people of Tatton.
