I READ with interest Councillor Naylor’s opposition to selective education.

It appears from his letter that he himself benefited from a grammar school education.

Why is it so many politicians feel that what was good enough for them is too good for everybody else?

It would seem that councillors have enough local problems - green field development, unwanted one way systems, green carbuncles and unwanted prisons - to address their efforts rather than making comments on national issues.
