I REGULARLY walk into town past the new so-called roundabout at the top of Chesterway and have noted that two obvious things are missing.
First is the lack of barriers to protect pedestrians from traffic.
The traffic negotiates the roundabout at speed sometimes and there is nothing to prevent the vehicles from running onto the pavement and injuring passers-by.
The central islands where the crossings are have no protection either.
Secondly, where have all the litter bins gone?
That area once had a number of conveniently situated bins but now there is nothing between Church Road/Witton Street junction and the station traffic lights.
Can we have some back please – there is plenty of room on the wider bits of pavement.
