A YEAR ago I brought to your attention the actions of the FA and local agencies regarding the situations at Moss Farm and Knights Grange planning to reduce grass football and move it on to the new but limited all weather facilities.
Games were cancelled, local leagues challenged and many hundreds of local young men had their seasons disrupted.
At the weekend I travelled to various locations, Norley Road fields at Cuddington, the school field at Ash Road and others and saw games in process.
I further took a friend who is a referee to the Booth JUC leagues to Moss Farm where all weekend games were cancelled on Friday (despite ensuring fine weather, Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
The pitches were indeed wet but without doubt suitable for safe and enjoyable football to be played.
Once again the community services are failing the people of this community.
