I HAVE to say, when I saw the plans for the new roundabout at the top of town (Leicester Street/Chesterway) I was worried.
Why change something that the majority of people knew how to navigate?
I would add that there were plenty of Northwich residents who could not read the road signs as it was before and used to cut fellow motorists up but so far the new system seems to be working well.
Nobody has cut me up and I hope that continues.
With Barons Quay not yet open it’s not being tested to its maximum but I have to say well done to the council.
I would query one thing though.
I doubt the bench placed in the middle of the roundabout – is that what we call it now? – will be used.
Sitting in the middle of a traffic system is hardly the most relaxing way to past one’s time.
