IT WAS interesting reading the “Fly in the Ointment” article in last week’s Guardian.

Part of the article said “history shows a left wing party do not win elections”.

Actually you should read your history books, in 1945 a left wing socialist.

Labour Party had a landslide victory.

I would also contest your assumption that the Labour Party would not appeal to the average person in the country.

People for instance are sick and tired of crowded and late trains, services being cancelled and the astronomical price of train tickets.

So renationalising the railways may well appeal to many who are sick and tired of being herded onto trains like cattle.

Since the 2010 coalition victory the NHS is in a far worse state than the LibDems and the Tories found it, in fact it is at breaking point.

Again funding our NHS properly and stopping the continuing dismantling of our NHS may well appeal to many in our nation.

I concede that our party has been at an all time low recently with bitter arguments and a good amount of name calling.

However we can and we will unite and fight against the dismantling of our NHS and fight for fairness and social justice for all in the UK.

You may find many in society will agree with that position, even in middle England.
