WELCOME to the Tour of Britain cycle race.
As a cyclist I rode down into the town and looked for a good viewing area. I parked my bike outside the Waters Edge surgery across from the church.
I sat on the wall and within two minutes a member of staff came out to ask me to move my bike because it was blocking a temporary GP recruitment sign.
The doctors asked staff to keep it clear so that it could get TV coverage.
I explained that when the crowd gathers it will block the sign anyway but this fell on deaf ears.
As the crowd built up they were asked to move.
Some elderly people wanted to sit on the wall but were quickly asked to move.
This shows that the Waters Edge medical centre wasn’t very caring or thoughtful on a day that should be a celebration for Middlewich.
Instead it left a bad taste in my mouth.
