LEIGHTON accident and emergency department has had problems since at least 2012, but nothing seems to be done.

Money was found for a new car park, café and a refurbishment of the treatment centre but none spent on A&E – very strange priorities.

In our case we had a wait of four hours on a trolley in the corridor following admittance via ambulance to A&E.

Why has money not been directed to A&E but frittered away on car parks and cafés?

I’m sure Leighton will have a stock answer.
