I WAS wondering how long the council are planning on keeping one side of the junction of Castle Street and Chesterway in Northwich closed for?
The signs don’t say when it will reopen, and over the two days it has been shut so far, it has caused gridlock for most of the day on Darwin Street, due to all traffic (including large lorries!) using the single file Navigation Road and Darwin Street to get past the closure.
If it is going to be for much longer, they need to look at temporary parking restrictions on Darwin Street on the approach to its junction with the A559 Chester Road, as you can’t move at that junction due to the huge queue backing up along Darwin Street which is there for most of the day since they closed the road.
