FOR as many years as I care to remember, driving in and around Northwich has been anything but a pleasurable experience.

As anyone who has the misfortune of trying to drive through or get in and out of Northwich will know how frustrating, and that is putting it mildly it is; especially if you are trying to get to or get home from work.

This is only the beginning.

The majority of the problems are roadworks due to the new housing developments, when they are complete, then you will see the roads in Northwich well and truly grind to a halt.

It’s all very well regenerating the town but as always, the infrastructure is the same as it was 40 years ago apart from a ridiculous one-way system that was one of the worst traffic decisions ever made by the council and that is saying something.

Please keep this e-mail as reference, because my prediction is Northwich will not be functional / operational for vehicles in six months maximum.
