ON June 25 my three intrepid friends Nick Dean (Navigator), Roy Pennington(Brains) and new boy Dave Scanlon (Dynamo) will start their annual cycle challenge along the well trodden paths of the canals of the Pennine Waters West in aid of the Leighton Hospital Prostate Cancer Support Group.
Starting from Middlewich taking in the sights of Wigan, Blackburn, Skipton, Leeds, Castleford, Ashton- Under-Lyne, the Cheshire Ring to finish on July 9 back at Middlewich.
This will be the seventh year they have cycled the canal paths for our group and have, over the seven years, raised over £12,000 in sponsorship enabling us to continue fighting this most common cancer in men.
These monetary donations have helped to save many men’s lives from our PSA blood testing events.
