I WOULD like to ask who is acting responsibly in this referendum debate?
You might ask is responsibility a dated value and responsibility to whom or what.
We have enjoyed the responsibility of controlling a large portion of the globe over the past few hundred years.
I argue we therefore hold a responsibility of ensuring it and the remainder live in peace and prosperity for the next.
We face issues such as terrorism, mass migration and climate change that demand a global approach.
Are we better equipped to help the world deal with these challenges from inside or outside the EU?
On another subject, I am concerned about the net loss of £1.6 million associated with the winding up of CoSocius, a joint venture between Cheshire East and Cheshire West and Chester to deliver IT services.
This is a colossal amount of money considering the short period for which the company was in operation.
Obviously, it is to be applauded that the councils involved realised their error and limited future losses. However, was a proper risk assessment made at the time of the venture?
I do hope that lessons are learned and future misguided similar projects are curtailed.
