AS a student at Chester University I am completing a thesis on youth sport in local communities and have read, and used, letters published in your good paper.

I visited Moss Farm and then Knights Grange to watch youth football and would mention the disparity between the two in support of said letters.

I telephoned both grounds before setting out and received no reply from Moss Farm, and an instant friendly reply from Knights Grange.

Visiting both grounds I found Moss Farm to have cancelled all games and Knights Grange to have a full programme being played out.

Previous inquiries have told me the cost to each club is circa £600 per annum and there are some 600-700 registered players in the mid Cheshire league which, added to the youth league of similar figures, totals a big percentage of the community. At these costs there should surely not be such disparity of available service between the two centres?
