GREAT to hear walking football has a new start in Winsford.

Having played the game for the last three years at Winsford, Chesterton and now Northwich, I would encourage any soccer mad senior to take part.

Through representatives Jane Hardy, Louise Hough of Age UK every help was given including sponsorship to get it off the ground.

Tracy Humphreys of Age UK Staffs, together with Sportscape have been extremely successful.

The benefits: the enjoyment of playing the game, exercise, improvement in general health, and meeting new friends.

So I am surprised Age UK have not been mentioned in the article published.

Does walking football [a group of guys getting together to kick a ball] have to become affiliated to the FA, at a cost because of its success?

Let's go back to the start.

AGE UK should be the beneficiary of walking footballs' success, and subscriptions from the group, after expenses ie venue, should go back to the charity to assist their work, in encouraging us seniors to get healthy and enjoy.
