I HAVE just returned home from shopping in Northwich.

Upon entering Witton Street from Venables Road I was met by blaring music coming from the direction of Boots.

Unfortunately, I had to make my way in that direction and soon realised that this noise was emanating from a man playing an electric guitar accompanied by a woman on drums.

Some people appeared to be entertained by this performance, unfortunately the same could not be said for the little dog that they had with them.

This poor animal who was dressed in a ridiculous Father Christmas outfit was attached so tightly to the nearby drainpipe that it was forced to sit upright with its head stuck against the wall.

It was unable to move let alone lie down and all the time it was forced to listen to this constant din. I informed the woman on the drums that the dog was unable to move but she seemed generally unconcerned by this.

I spent two hours in this vicinity and the situation was the same when I left as when I first arrived. I never saw this dog have any food or more importantly no water was available for it and it was still sitting in a restricted position.

They were inconsiderate as to an animal’s basic needs not to mention the dog’s sensitive eardrums.
