I AM grateful for the opportunity to respond to the letter from Mr Laing of the Labour Party.
Mr Laing is correct in stating that I said that I would be opening an office in Winsford. That property search is under way at the moment. If anyone can help please get in touch.
I already have a full-time member of my team based in the constituency who will be working from the Winsford office.
I have big plans for the future of Winsford, for economic regeneration and I am looking forward to working with all councillors, traders and local residents.
Opening a constituency office is about helping residents with their issues and concerns, while it may, as Mr Laing states “Send a signal that Winsford is a town open for business”, I am far more ambitious for Winsford than to think that opening my office is part of the regeneration.
As far as I can, I will be working with councillors to help with the regeneration of Winsford town centre. I have already reached out to work with the Labour council, and although I’ve not yet had a reply I’m hopeful we can work together.
I am committed to the future of Winsford and making our town the best it can be, it will not happen overnight but I believe the town has a great future.
If anyone would like to get involved please do contact me.
