REGARDING your article in last week’s paper about the rat-run issues down Percy Street and parking issues around Whalley Road/Priory Street/Percy Street and us having to pay for a parking permit.
The residents are annoyed that this has even been considered.
Why should we pay to park outside our houses?
We pay enough in council tax.
Also we have had to put up with all the chaos that has been caused while building the ugly blot on our view.
The road was closed without warning and we now look out on to a construction site of equipment that has been dumped on the field , which used to be used for the flood defence.
We have enough problems here with parking issues and now they want us to pay to park outside our house.
They should be paying us to live here and see how stressful it is. But most of these people who make these crazy decisions probably don’t live in Northwich.
