YET again Cheshire West and Chester Council has ignored its constituents who have to continually suffer due to the constant roadworks and road closures associated with the Winnington Village development.
I cannot begin to imagine the chaos and trouble this latest long term closure will cause, not to mention the cost of the fuel wasted by sitting in traffic, or the damage caused by the shoddy road surfaces to vehicles.
I fully understand the need for new housing.
I also understand that disruption goes hand in hand with new developments.
But surely if our elected leaders would have had the common sense to upgrade the infrastructure, including the infamous Winnington Swing Bridge problem, before the building works were started, then all this would have been a lot easier to manage?
