A MAN appeared in private at Portree Sheriff Court yesterday charged
with abduction, attempted murder, rape, attempted robbery, and resisting
arrest, following an incident in the village at the weekend involving a
15-year-old girl. Mr Iain MacDonald Ferguson, 23, of Kersavagh,
Lochmaddy, made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.
