Fast plans on the right track
EVERYTHING is getting busier.
The HS2 is planning ahead for the coming generations.
The initial section is primarily to add capacity and will help free the M6 and M1 from additional heavy lorries.
But doing it in such a way that everywhere from Birmingham northwards, gets a much faster journey to London is a much better idea than continuing to tinker with existing routes.
The second section will provide more of the same, together with bringing Manchester to only 45 minutes from Birmingham, with a regular service throughout the day.
Surely a triple win for us in the north west?
