FOR what it's worth, my advice is the same as the Guardian's which last week launched a campaign called Value Your Vote - to encourage readers to use their vote in this year's General Election.

Please don't just defend failing to vote with the excuse 'they are all the same' because if you research it you will find they are not.

Check out if you have been properly represented or ignored and simply just managed and controlled.

There are 650 £67,000-a-year, plus allowances, expenses and nice pensions MPs' jobs up for grabs in May, and Weaver Vale is the 42nd easiest seat for Labour to win back – so no wonder the Tory £57 million war chest bank rollers will swamp us like never before as we in Labour fight to get just 500 Weaver Vale votes back and also finish the job of taking six more Cheshire West and Chester Council seats.

Forget all the leaflets etc and just check our Weaver Vale MP's record on sites like They Work For You and The Public Whip.

You will quickly find out, as I recently did, that out of 1,195 votes, Graham Evans participated in 1,020 and voted 1,010 times for the Conservative way.

Check out whether his votes were representing you or just the Conservative party.

There will be few who have not moaned or criticised political parties, but voting is the only way we can convert that anger into action.
