AS SOMEONE whose family has received excellent health care from our NHS, I find it upsetting that both Tory and Labour find it acceptable to play politics with such an important national institution.
They are simply kicking it around like a political football because spin doctors think it's a vote winner.
It is an insult to the hard-working professionals in the health service, many of whom have come from shores afar to fill skill gaps we desperately need in the NHS.
On the one side you have the Tories, who have spent the last five years on a top down reorganisation that they promised they wouldn't do, at great expense to the taxpayer of course!
On the other hand you have a Labour Party that wants to invest £2.5 billion. Very good, I hear you shout, but on what? Another top down reorganisation, which they slammed the Tories for doing!
I am delighted that my party leader, Nigel Farage, recently announced that Ukip will put an extra £3 billion into front line services.
UKIP will also save a further £2 billion on stopping the abuse of health tourism, resulting in a total of £5 billion targeted on front line health care – not middle management.
UKIP will take money out of the £11 billion Foreign Aid budget and keep the NHS free at the point of use. With this funding, UKIP will give immediate help to what is rapidly becoming the sickest patient in the high dependency unit – the NHS itself.
Cllr Amos Wright UKIP Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Weaver Vale
