THE parking arrangements for the workforce that is involved in the regeneration of Northwich and the new development at Marbury Court should be allocated by the local authority.

Parking at Verdin Park has been taken over by the workforce vans and by 8am there is no availability for any office staff.

Surely, it would be in Waitrose's interests to allow some of their empty parking spaces for the workforce to park up at 8am and maybe call in for coffee, sandwiches etc?

Their car park from, what I can see, is never full, even if the local authority have to pay some kind of fee to them.

At the present time, it is causing ill feeling towards the regeneration as other parkers are being penalised, either by a fine or an extremely long walk up to the top end of town. Northwich, at one time, was well known for free car parks, but sadly there is now hardly any parking at all.

Something needs to be done urgently.
